Magictail Outfitters is a family owned and operated tackle company based out of Little Egg Harbor, New Jersey. What started at a kitchen table has grown into one of the most trusted names in modern saltwater tackle, driven by a simple commitment: craft lures that outperform everything else in the spread.

How it all began

In 2014, while expecting their first child, Dante and Svetlana found themselves with time to build something new. Svetlana began tying bucktails by hand, amassing an inventory so large they started sharing them with local South Jersey anglers and tackle shops. The word spread fast. Fishermen recognized the meticulous craftsmanship, durability, and fish-catching action, turning those early bucktails into an essential local staple, and Magictail was officially born.

From the Inshore Wrecks to the Canyons

By 2020, Dante, a founding team member of the legendary MJ’s Sportfishing team, set his sights on the offshore grounds. Leveraging decades of high-stakes tournament experience, he began engineering and building offshore trolling tackle designed to withstand the brutal demands of pelagic fishing.

The results spoke immediately. Since 2020, Magictail offshore tackle has helped tournament teams secure an astounding $14,909,780 in tournament earnings, with over $4 million won in 2026 alone.
