Joe Shute Carolina Daisy Chain

Joe Shute Carolina Daisy Chain

When Yellowfin and Blackfin Tuna get picky, give them a scene. The Joe Shute Carolina Daisy Chain combines the vibration of a squid school with the natural swim of a ballyhoo, creating a feeding-frenzy profile that triggers a tuna's competitive instinct.

How It's Built

• The Tease: Four premium small squids create surface commotion and chatter to draw attention from a distance.
• The Payload: Terminates in a 1 oz Joe Shute stinger head, weighted to keep the chain submerged and stable even in choppy seas.
• The Connection: A pin rig with an 8/0 southern tuna hook makes it easy to add a small or medium ballyhoo for natural scent and swimming action.

Specifications

• Rig: Pin rig, 8/0 southern tuna hook, 12 feet of 100# fluorocarbon main line, 1 oz Joe Shute stinger head
• Target Species: Yellowfin Tuna, Blackfin Tuna, Mahi-Mahi

Captain's Tip: Run this chain from the short outriggers or the shotgun position - it trails behind the spread like a straggler falling out of the school.
